Manufacturer archive // Ref: SHA-CN

Manufacture founded in the late 1950s in Shanghai, which became communist China's prestige watch (notably worn by Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai). Its activity slowed after the 1980s before a relaunch in the late 2000s, entrusting the logo to Hong Kong designer Tommy Li and the dial aesthetics to Swiss designer Éric Giroud, while movement design and manufacturing remained in-house at the Chinese company.
